Guys – Sorry for getting back to you, for your excellent suggested responses, but had to leave town on business over the past 12 hours.
Beginning with Paul’s ISA slot, I checked yesterday and we have that slot available in all four systems, but did not have time to investigate e-bay or any other sources to see if there was additional memory card(s) for purchase, to fulfill our projected needs of 128 Mbytes.
Ageless, many thanks for your link to possible additional memory; this organization (Memory Suppliers) may be a good alternative to e-bay or other such sources, should this direction of retrofitting be pursued.
Walt I’ll have to get back to you on the “chip set” issue, residing in our systems, since I’m currently at home and won’t be back into the office for another 36 hours, but I will get back to you with an updated reply. I hate to guess, but I’d venture to say the chip set is Compaq’s older “Pentium/Pentium Pro” series. Your calculations concerning time required to complete an E@H work unit, are what we figured upon also, which for us is not really acceptable.
Again, guys all the thanks I can give, for your efforts in providing suggestions, truly candid comments and sincere advice.
