I currently have 2 fermi gpu's in my system - is there somehwere in the preferences where I can tell Einstein to only use 1 GPU? I dont mind running with both, but with only 5% usage on the gpu, it's a shame to run it on two cards, I d rather run einstein on 2 x cpu and 1 x 480 and leave the other 2 cpu's and 1 x 470 running seti. I know I can specify this in seti, can I do the same for einstein?
I also have to chime in here and say that the CUDA app is pretty inefficient as it is with my Fermi (GTX 460) card. It uses 1.0 CPUs + 1.0 GPUs. but the GPU is not hardly used at all, somewhere around 5% at any given time. On collatz, the CPU is set to .03 while the GPU set to 1.0 and it eats through WUs like mad because it uses 100% of the GPU when it is running while also allowing the CPU to crunch on other things.
Thanks for that I

Hi! Usually BOINC will

Hi!
Usually BOINC will only use one GPU by default, you have to play tricks in teh configuration to make it use all available GPUs.
You can also configure BOINC to select which card to use if you have more than one, see this thread at SETI: http://home.ssl.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=59827
Happy crunching

Thanks for that, but as I

Thanks for that, but as I understand it, that would be a global setting for all projects..
If I use
1
0
Then boinc will ignore 1 gpu for all projects, I was hoping that I could doo an app_info for einstein to use 1 gpu and seti the other..
Will google and see what I can find

Would it be posseble to run 2

Would it be posseble to run 2 or 3 instances, on 1 FERMI(GTX470) GPU.
Driver is QX9650, now running ~stock.
