PS.
In the BOINC SETI world, gcc3.4.3 optimized Linux Clients have recently achieved (depending on CPU) 135-184% performance of their default Windows counterparts at 100% validation level. Not bad for a "shitty OS" I guess...

Hey! gcc creates shitty code when there is heavy usage of the x86 floating point unit. So at least in this battle Microsoft wins clearly.
