I somehow suspected this. The GPU is recognized but the OpenCL part can not be initialized. A complete reinstall of the driver (clean uninstall and reinstall) or reverting to an older driver might help. What do the AMD GPU users say?

Greetings adrianxw Pop

Greetings adrianxw

Pop yourself over to GURU3D website and download their software called Display Driver Uninstaller.

When you run it please run as administrator and it pretty much straightforward to use.

It will clean out your drivers and then you can reload AMD's Catalyst Package.

I am using Catalyst 14.12 for my cards at the moment, but that is my choice to run that version.

Happy Crunching.

Good Afternoon The reason

Good Afternoon

The reason it asks for the password is so it can run under admin rights.

Under WIN 7, you would right click an executable and then select option run as administrator and then a confirmation box would open up asking you to confirm this..

Whereas with WIN 10, to run as administrator, you need to input your password to confirm that you want to do this.

Its the same in Linux, where if you need to switch to administrator it will ask for the password.

Its a extra security option that should have been in WIN 7.
