I thought this thread was going recommend some good books related to LIGO and such, but oh well. I'm reading The Quantum Zoo at the moment, and was thinking about picking up Einstein's Universe from the library next. Einstein's Unfinished Symphony is a really good book dealing with the science of LIGO, I highly recommend it!
When i was a student at secondary school i used to read KVANT monthly popular-science journal and also KVANT series of popular-science books.

Yesterday I found a real gem at the university library:
The Truth of Science: Physical Theories and Reality, by Roger G. Newton. I've only read a chapter and a half so far, but it's really good.
Was wondering when it was written, so I googled the title and found the publisher's page for it here. It does look like an excellent book, thanks HomeGnome. Newton (the book's author) quoted in the publisher's synopsis, totally worth repeating here:
"A body of assertions is true if it forms a coherent whole and works both in the external world and in our minds."
Good books
)
Talking about enjoyable:
Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!
and
What Do You Care What Other People Think?
Apart from beeing funny, the second books gives a detailed account of the Challenger accident by Feynman, who was one of the investigators.
