oh, one minor nitpick -

oh, one minor nitpick - column 5 for the GTX 580 should be 4159, not 4195 ;-)

...but enjoy your birthday and don't worry about it until you're sober again haha...

with a power draw of this is what I would call 'green crunching' !

@Ivailo Bonev : THX for the info; could you please inform us also with real power consumption data?

HD7790 is not on my rigs (so I don't know real power consumption of the card), but definitely it's my next purchase, which will replace my old GF 9800GT. (for use, both for crunching and gaming) I'm looking for the efficiency, because my power supply is only 425W.

My condolences :-)

BTW, have a 7790 card on the way, will post Einstein times when it gets here.

Has anyone first benchmarks of the new HD7790?
Theoretically it should give > 2 results within one h with a power draw of < 80 Watt.

Jeearr have one HD7790 with recent results:
http://einsteinathome.org/host/6014248/tasks&offset=0&show_names=1&state=3&appid=0
It's 20% faster (comparing time for one unit) than his old "CapeVerde" card(HD7770 or HD7750). From timings of HD7770 in pdf file here, I think his HD7790 is working with 2 units simultaneously, and 2u <3200s.

Hi,

Yes - I replaced my 7770 card with a 7790 card (running 2 units at a time). The GPU is running at 100%. What is curious is that it is only 20% faster or so given it has 14 compute units vs. 10 on the 7770 (both cards run stock 1Ghz).

Cheers!

I ran a few Einstein WUs on the HD 7790 (now it's on WCG for the next few days), average time was 3030 seconds running 2 WUs concurrently. Put it on the list :-)
The 7790 is 20% faster at Einstein than my 7770s and about the same speed as my 5870s (at 1/2 the power usage). Anyone have times for the HD 7850?

20% faster here too (than the 7770 GHz edition). One thing I've noticed is strange behavior in Afterburner where the GPU utilization pulses from 0% to 100%. The 7770 doesn't do this (nor any of my other cards [5770, 5850, 5870] for that matter). The only drivers that seem to work are the preview drivers and I think they may need some maturing. Will try some actual release drivers when they become available.
