Have put this into the other forum:25/08/2005 18:06:04|Einstein@Home|Started download of Config_H_S4hA I was told it was a configuration file why was it downloaded to me as a 7.9 Mg file.
The Config file is only a few hundred bytes long, the 8 MB files contain actual data from the detector. You may peek into einsteins project directory on you harddrive
(usually C:\\Program Files\\BOINC\\projects\\einstein.phys.uwm.edu) to see what has been downloaded. The data files currently have names like "w1_0000.0". If the Config file showed up in the BOINC Manager (transfer tab) as being 8 MB large it was probably because of a delay in the update of the display.

Hhmmm ...
The configuration files are normally small (about 1k or so). Sounds like you are referring to the file that normally contains all the data that you are "massaging" for the project. Go to the BOINC directory folder in the programs folder. Then find the Projects folder, and look for the Einstein folder. In there are the files you downloaded ...
