I have tried several times now to get einstein@home to run on BOINC but it just keeps "resetting project" and then "detaching from project", can you give me some advice as to what might be preventing it being accepted?

If BOINC can't get through to the project it will do that. Check your proxy/firewall settings.

My screen saver says BOINC is idle at the moment. Then once and a while it will try to download the screensaver then quickly returns to BOINC is idle. Could that be because of my firewall too?
How I tell my firewall to accept BOINC settings?

It appears you still have to attach to the project as under your account looking to your host you don't have any host referenced.
Open Boinc, click on attach to project and fill in the URL and account key you got in the e-mail send to you. Once that is done, Boinc will download and the application and some WU's.
Have a look in the tab "messages" of Boinc once you are attached to the project in order to see what is happening.
BTW, the screensaver is on your PC and will show only something if a WU is crunched.
If you need any further help, please come back.

Thank you for your suggestions. I did what you said to input my URL. I can't find what page to go to "Open Boinc, click on attach to project"?

It still looks like no computer is connected with your account.
How to connect depends on the version of the client and the Operating System you are using.
Assuming windows (*g*) and Version 4.2x of the BoincManager since your account is rather new,
methinks it could be you need a proxy. Try to find proxy settings in your browser (IE6: Start-Settings-?Sytemsteuerung?-Internetoptions-Connections-Settings should give you the proxy, for Mozilla/Netscape it is: Edit-Preferences-Advanced-Proxies)
Proxy definition is IP adress and Port - could look like: 192.168.0.100 Port 3128.
These values go into Extras-Options-HTTPProxy of the boinc manager.
Only if these values are correct you can succesfully connect to the Einstein-server by selecting tab: projects of the BoincManager, choose 'Connect to project' on left panel.
If you do not use Windows or Version 4.2x, just say so and give us Operating system and version you are using - we will do our very best to help you.
I downloaded BOINC again,

I downloaded BOINC again, found "attach to project" and input the URL and account key.
I clicked on Messages and the last post said "detach from project."
Does that mean I am set up and ended my task or I am rejected and not set up yet?

There is almost certainly a line above the one that says detaching from project that says master file fetch failed. If this is true, then you have not succeeded in attaching to the project, but rather there was some communications failure. Most likely, it is a proxy for which you have not configured BOINC, or a personal firewall or router that is not configured correctly to let BOINC out.
