The Einstein server status shows brp7 with only 2 days of work left and GW with 4 days. Is there going to be another pulse of GPU tasks coming?

Thank you.

Probably BRP7 server status

Probably BRP7 server status just  need an update, I will be really surprised if we already computed all data from MeerKAT. My guess is another year to go.

There hasn't been any official comment yet but I've just seen a host get new O3AS tasks for a higher frequency range than I've seen previously.

Up until right now, I hadn't noticed any tasks higher than the 129x.xxHz range so my guess was that 1300.00Hz was the highest frequency value being searched for.  One of my hosts just downloaded data files and a 1460.00Hz skygrid file for tasks named h1_1459.60 ... .  The interesting point is that the sequence numbers which count right down to zero (the 2nd last field immediately prior to the copy number) started above 57500.  That's much higher than for earlier lower frequencies (I remember seeing sequence numbers around 38000) so looks like there will be a continuation of O3AS maybe going as high as 1500Hz or even higher with lots of new tasks per frequency bin.

Hopefully there will soon be a comment in Tech News giving some details.

Cheers,
Gary.

When they announced a cuda

When they announced a cuda version of the All Sky GW I inferred it was not about to run out of data because why bother with an app upgrade to an expiring sub project?

Still waiting for the CUDA

Still waiting for the CUDA O3AS!!! But the new higher freq WUs seem to not being validated because there are so many? And few of us working on them? In half a day today I processed 100-130 such WUs on each of 2 machines and my pendings went up 104 on one and 79 on the other, and it looks like I am going to get RAC of only about 30% of what I had been getting for the day. IF I am lucky.

BAH!

You can grab it yourself from

You can grab it yourself from the original post by Bernd in CUDA O3AS thread. No need to wait.

Bernd said earlier today the validator for O3AS was waiting on storage system maintenance process to finish up before being let back into action.  Should be starting to clear the backlog about now I expect.

Hello! Just seen: the

Hello!

Just seen: the O3ASHF1b work generator is back to run at 12:40 (UTC) and just 39 tasks to be sent out in E@H Server Status page. So it will take some time for normal operation.

Kind regards and happy crunching

Martin
