Thus, the amount of credit a computer will earn is necessarily independent of the project run. The previous sentence is true, except when it comes to Climate Prediction. Instead of granting credit the way all other projects (to my knowledge) do, they instead grant 6,805.26 credits for each WU, independent of run-time.

Ahhhhh.... that's the part I was missing! Thanks! I've only got one (slow) computer which I give 100% to Einstein and so I wasn't aware of that Climate Prediction difference.

It seems a bit "unfair" that projects can somewhat arbitrarily set how they grant credits, but I guess it is the science which is most important.

And Michael, thank you too for some good points I hadn't fully considered. I would imagine some of those things would average out over all users, but I do wonder how much a known error like the graphics bug affects the amount of "useless" hosts.

The thing I've noticed about

The thing I've noticed about credits is that if the computers in this household were granted the same as what they claim, between 80 and 85, then it would be in line with the granted credit obtained on Seti. But the average granted here on Einstein is only 65 for these computers. If one was chasing credits then one have to question wether crunching for Einstein was the right way to go.
