It is cancelled already.

It is cancelled already. Neither you, nor the other person will get credit for it. Let BOINC make contact with the project and it'll automatically cancel that task.

I guess I will have to abort the wu and it will look like I quit processing it rather than the project ripping me off of 77 hours of processing.\\

I see I should have checked here before I posted my thread.

Although the original post was 8 days ago.

My WU

360+ hours for a WU is a bit much. :)

RE: Update: the affected

Update: the affected workunits have been cancelled! This means no more tasks/results will be created for them. You may therefore now abort any local work based on the affected (see my previous post) workunits. Recent clients should do this automatically after their next server (scheduler) contact but I recommend doing this manually to save precious CPU cycles.

Well, I just did an update, and it still hasn't done anything about my workunit, so it's still chugging along. I guess I'll just figure it's bad and suspend it.

If you follow your own link to your WU you will see that it says "errors Cancelled" and as per Olivers post earlier in this thread you can abort it. See message id 97418.

i also received two WUs which

i also received two WUs which took me 21 hour to finish instead of ordinary 7 hours or so

http://einsteinathome.org/workunit/54068724

the quorum partner for the 1st one also spent the similar amount of time to finish
but the 2nd WU is different:

The second one is different because your wingman had a more powerful PC (as opposed to the first one, where the were comparable MIPS).

Oh i did not notice he was running on 64 bit.

But is it normal that those units are several times longer than those i crunched before ?
