I have upgraded to 16.2.1 and all is well.
I still think that the usage is fluctuating too much and too much CPU resources used. Hope AMD will fix that in later drivers...
I hear ya !
I see you didn't want to gamble on those AMD Vulkan drivers either )
I don't know if HAL9000 is testing those but, some are over at Seti :)

I don't run beta drivers on my main systems. I have an older system that is really only for bench marking and testing things out, but it has HD 5750.
If after a few more batches I see similar results since switching to 15.12 I'll likely go back to Cat 15.7. I really dislike the Crimson GUI anyway. Which is almost enough reason to go back for me.
As far an Vulkan goes I don't see why it would improve performance for OpenCL apps. As it is a completely different API. AMD did update OpenCL to 2004.3 in their Vulkan driver. So any performance changes would likely be from code optimizations there.
$500.00.. I wish!
In Australia a Nano is over AUD$1000.00 (US$750.00)
I'll be content with my R9 390 (seen as my R9 280x died :( ) No O/C my card this time round.
It is a shame we can't run more than 1 WU. The card doesn't run 100% with 1 WU.... probably a good thing :)

I can see slightly improved performance with Crimson 13.3 and the new "Power Efficiency" option switched off.

Great !
I'm currently running 3 of the all-sky F tasks on the CPU
and, the Parkes PMPS XT tasks on the Nano simultaneously.
Total system power draw is 303 Watts.

And who always can´t get enough can double that card, if money isn´t the point. :D

It looks like 'None' of the new GPU's coming out
this year will have HBM2 (high bandwidth memory 2)
That is disappointing (
