Description

Are you interested in science and technology? If you are, then please support my BSA Eagle Project and the worldwide scientific community by installing a great program onto your home computers.
According to Albert Einstein, we live in a universe full of gravitational waves. He suggested that the movements of heavy objects, such as black holes and dense stars, create waves that change space and time. The scientific community has a chance to detect these waves, but needs your help to do it!
Einstein@Home uses computer time donated by computer owners all over the world to process data from gravitational wave detectors. Participants in Einstein@Home download software to their computers, which process gravitational wave data when not being used for other computer applications, like word processors or games. Einstein@Home doesn’t affect the performance of computers and greatly speeds up this exciting research. It is not a hoax or a scam, and will not give your computer viruses. In fact, the program currently has over 200,000 users in more than 200 countries!
My eagle project involves getting people to install this program and helping scientists worldwide confirm Einstein’s theory on gravitational waves. My sponsor for this project is Manuela Campanelli, a scientist at Rochester Institute of Technology. She researches black holes and their effect on space and time, and is funded by NASA and the National Science Foundation. I am a scout in Troop 683, which is sponsored by St. Raymond’s Catholic Church. If you are interested, detailed instructions for installing the program are on the back of this page.
Thank you for your support in both my eagle project and in this worldwide effort. If you have any questions or comments please contact me at or (703) 495-0324.

Sincerely,
Nick Olszowy,
Troop 683.
