Hello, my name is John Huisman and I live in Newnan Ga.(a distant suburb, 35 mi.SW of Atlanta). I live with my wife, Barbara and have a daughter, Robin Lill, who lives close by..I am 69 yrs old and retired from Kroger Co., with 30 years service..Born in Cleveland Ohio, went to Bedford High School and finished in 1961.
As I may have said, previously, I'm not a scientist, but, I have always been fascinated with astronomy...Don't have a telescope, so I've settled for the next best thing, namely, "Stellarium", a free, open source program where one can view (in real time) the heavens right on your desktop..I have, in the last few months, suggested that E@home talk to the people at Stellarium to post E@home findings on their star chart...So far, everyone is too busy to take up that task.
Other interests are gaming, (RPG's) that do not require any "hand-eye" co-ordination (mostly in the Dungeons and Dragons genre)....Lastly, my long time interest in music, especially electronic music..I have compiled a huge catalog of "trance" and make CD.'s for friends.(especially pretty ones) "Right Whitney"?)
My computer skills have reached a plateau, where I have the ability to crash my computer fairly frequently, up to, and including having to replace the OS a month or so ago.
