Hi there!
Since I'm not exactly an expert on computer hardware, I would be very grateful for some advice.

I'm thinking of upgrading my computer and need some help

Right now my CPU is an Intel P3 Celeron 894 MHz, socket 370 if I'm not mistaken. My question is what is the fastest cpu I could use? I'm not sure of make and model of the motherboard, but I could look it up if needed.

Grateful for advice!

Upgrading

1133MHz P3 is likely the maximum, so no real benefit from that.
If you're lucky your board can handle Tualatin P3's which are available up to 1.4GHz.

Let the InSPEC program run and it'll inspect your system, detail the results, and offer upgrade possibilites. :)

Thanks for the tip! Seems I can put in a 1.4 GHz P3, but unless I can find a used one it will cost some serious money.

But at least now I know what I can do with my machine.
