Hello,

Just joined yesterday, installed and must have created account at the time of install. I do not remember email information and cannot retrieve any information about my account from program other than user name and computer ID. I created this account today and would like to link the work my computer is doing to this account. The user names are the same, both on the computer and on this website. I have the computer ID that the program uses to identify the work it does. Can I link this information or retrieve the information used originally when I installed the program??

linking computer to account??

When you attach to the project an account is made automatically.

You can follow this FAQ to switch to your other account. That FAQ was written for Seti, so do not use the Your Account link in it... instead use this one.

I just linked to my new logon by replacing the authentication code and user id of the old identity with this one. I lost credit for a completed project, but that's OK. Thanks for your help. I wish I could have been more patent to wait for a response before I did the change, but I am a meat and potato's kind of guy and like to dig into stuff.

Thanks again.

Is their a reason though that you do not have any tasks assigned to your pc? It says your quad core is connected but there are no tasks listed, for Einstein, for the pc to crunch.

You've got the terms mixed up, not uncommon for newbies. You completed a task not a project. The project is Einstein@home and it issues tasks for us to crunch.

We'll let it go this time but eventually the moderators will deduct credits if you continue to make errors.

I thought it was so ridiculous it didn't need a smiley to let him know I was just joking.

That's better than forfeiting credits. I doubt I could earn credits fast enough :):P;)
