I tried to change my avatar slightly and uploaded the new version, but the old version is still coming up in preview.
Yes, it is 100x100, jpg and less 4k
reset to no avatar at all works.
edit: wrong version is shown.
I changed the text down there.

probably the original was uploaded using linux, and permissions were writable for owner only - so I could imagine, the file ist readonly now on your server - may well be the reason for not being able to change it now.

I just got somewhat puzzled, because I do not remember such problems when I set it up the first time - all changes were visible in preview at once.
But no posts where out, so you will pobably be right.
