Check that the venue, home, work, school, is still correct. My pc's used to move everytime they felt like it.
They were correct. Exiting and re-launching the BOINC client would fix it for a while. After the relaunch it would declare the GPU was missing for the work units.
I've fixed this issue by buying a graphics card with 4 GB and removing the cc_config.xml file. :)
