(a restart, by definition, should do the same but I'm unsure if the way a restart is communicated might hold over other things also)

it's possible something with your proxy and/or firewall settings.
Any messages in the messages tab?

The (very good) manual for Boinc is the BOINC Powered Projects Documentation by Paul D. Buck and the FAQ therein.
A quick installation guide in this is here and for windows go here, for –ux go here afterwards.

I restarted my computer and... it worked. But, he only subscribed to seti, and not to einstein. So, I subscribed to einstein again, and it worked to!

PS: I use Boin 4.25 on windows
