Does 1.22 (FGRPopencl1K-nvidia) (beta test) app have any configuration options to reduce kernel execution time?
Getting PC sound distortions while it runs.
Or maybe some other options to solve this?
GPU is GTX 460SE (driver 391.35), OS Win10x64, sound player is Groove music (stock solution for m3u).
P.S. and what proper way to report issues with beta apps?

Could you try foobar2000 for audio playback and test if distortions happen then also ?

I don't think there are any configuration options for that. You could try the standard version of that application. It runs fine on my GTX970 and GTX1070, no difference in run times compared to the beta version.
There is a discussion on the Technical News section: https://einsteinathome.org/content/gamma-ray-pulsar-binary-search-1-gpus though it has been very quiet there for the past months.

I did check - yes, distortions appear when playing MP3 with this app (v1.6.2) too.

then I would need to go to anonymous platform perhaps cause in stock I have no control of what app is in use.
I'll consider that as test option for later investigation thanks.
Thanks. Also I would like to download source code for this app (I have few aims for that, not only this particular issue) but unfortunately
https://einsteinathome.org/brp-src-release.zip leads to nowhere.
Where source could be downloaded?
EDIT: actually I'm interested in both Gamma-ray _and_ Radio-wave binary pulsar searches app sources.

I assume you're using the audio chip on the LGA775 motherboard and default audio driver. Maybe ASIO4ALL would work as an alternative audio driver. I think it should give the option to set larger playback buffer for audio, through the ASIO settings. Also in foobar2000 playback options there are buffer settings but I don't know if them would help with the default driver. A different driver might make a difference.

If you uncheck run test applications in the project settings, you should avoid having the scheduler send you the beta application.

Thanks, I'll try what app it will give instead and how they work in my current config.
Though I like to run beta, you know ;)

I installed that driver, set buffer size for foobar2000 from 1000ms to 3000ms and rebooted.
Good so far, no distortions still (testing on same task as it was suspended all this time).
Thanks!
Returning to this issue:

Returning to this issue: audio driver itself didn't help: when old WinAmp used distortions are here.
Moreover, if GPU task suspended not only distortions disappear - one can notice music pace speedup (back to normal !).
Maybe worth to come from different side - maybe some other NV GPU driver could eliminate this issue (would like to use good old WinAmp I familiar with :) ) ?
To make summary: most

To make summary: most probably this issue strongly related to GPU memory swapping.
Cause it's done on quite low OS level, I'm afraid w/o eliminating swapping or using some another GPU driver that allows interrupts more often during swapping this issue is unresolvable.
Thanks all for suggestions.
