I keep hearing about a screensaver with neat graphics. Not on my box (WinXP). In desktop/properties, there is an entry for the BOINC screensaver, but when the SS kicks in, all I get is a blank screen. (I'm set to "go to blank" in ten minutes.) If I suspend BOINC, I *do* get a screen saver ... one that tells me that BOINC is suspended. Any clues?
While poking around for a solution to this, I saw comment from someone who seemed to be saying that if he wants to look at the graphics, he turns it on in a control panel. Huh? Do I misinterpret him? I see no graphics (other than the gui window with very terse info), or control panel, or any options for turning graphics on.

What kind of videocard do you have? Can it do OpenGL graphics, do you have the latest drivers for your videocard?
As for turning the graphics on to see them with the GUI open, go to your Work tab, rightclick on the unit that is running, then from the popup menu choose Show Graphics.
If you want to use the screensaver option, make sure that the BOINC SS is setup correctly under Windows, rightclick on the desktop, properties. Then you're in Display Properties, go to the Screensaver tab, Click on Screen saver, make sure BOINC is chosen, edit the Settings.
