Our deep follow-up search results accepted for publication in The Astrophysical Journal: thank you!

May 20, 2020

A new paper on Einstein@Home results was accepted for publication in The Astrophysical Journal!

It describes a deep follow-up of results from the Einstein@Home search on LIGO O1 data for gravitational waves from central compact objects in three supernova remnants. It also presents the first electromagnetic follow-up of a continuous gravitational-wave candidate performed to date.

Many heart-felt thanks to all of you who made this work possible by donating cycles from your computers!

Video: Searching for Continuous Gravitational Waves

May 13, 2020

We made a video, where some members of our research group describe what we search for, how and why we do it. It's available on YouTube. It is in English, but subtitles are available in Chinese, English, German, Hindi, Italian, Malayalam, and Persian.

New E@H results paper available on arXiv

March 24, 2019

A new paper describing the results of the O1MD1 Einstein@Home search is now available on the arXiv preprint server at https://arxiv.org/abs/1903.09119 . While no astrophysical signals were found, "Results from an Einstein@Home search for continuous gravitational waves from Cassiopeia A, Vela Jr. and G347.3" describes the search and sets upper limits on the amplitude of continuous gravitational waves from the three supernova remnants at an unprecedented level. of sensitivity.
