Hi, how do adjust when and how tasks should run in the Bionic Manager? I only want tasks to run when my Laptop is in screen saver mode, or is idle. I would also like to perhaps reduce CPU usage, as the fans go crazy when it's running and my laptop is much noisier.

I am running a Macbook Pro 13", late 2009, with OS X 10.6.4.

There doesn't seem to be anywhere obvious to adjust settings like this.

I'd say the preferences (online and local) are a pretty obvious place to look at. ;-)

Try "Suspend work while computer is in use?" in your Computing preferences.

There are also settings for the number of CPU cores to use or throttling thereof.

Gruß,

[edit]If you use the local preferences once, you'll have to use them for all subsequent changes too, since they override the online ones. Or use the "Clear" button.[/edit]
