Topic 188794

I have opened/closed accounts, changed user name/address to no avail. My ISP states I am not receiving ANY mail from either project although I am currently contributing to Einstein as an LVAAS team member. So I have belatedly and totally discontinued any SETI processing for which I ahve been contributing for years and am stuck with being unable to open an account in Einstein for my son. Any new ideas to get activation keys for accounts that are already established for SETI or Einstein?

Thanks

I seem to recall a problem with verizon (sp?) users not receiving emails from the projects. If you're in this category, then the only alternative is a different ISP.

A polite email request to the project admins may work, but otherwise you'd probably need to create another account. Create a yahoo or hotmail email account and try create a new account with that.

For the active account, you

For the active account, you can retreive the activation key from the account_*.xml file.

If you have boinc installed

If you have boinc installed on any computer, you can recover your account key from the boinc folder. The default path is:
C:/Program Files/BOINC/account_setiathome.berkeley.edu.xml
Your account key is near the top.
There is similar file for Einstein.
