Is anybody running this

Is anybody running this successfully on a 64-bit Vista or higher?

I'm getting the same error as Holmis, e.g. task 136144143
[21:52:43][4652][ERROR] Error during CUDA host->device data transfer (unknown error)
Mark Henderson is able to run it on an XP x64, so it seems Vista has broken something (what a shock).

My system is:

I have a question.
Why one task use 100% of cpu and gpu?

Set No new tasks. If you wish to complete current CPU tasks, wait for them to finish and upload else abort them, update project and confirm no more S5R5 tasks remain in Tasks tab.

Remove from app_info all references to einstein_S5R5 and its files (incl. the complete section). Stop and restart the BOINC core. Allow new tasks.

Now that the default ABP1 app

Now that the default ABP1 app is v3.08, it should be possible to run CPU ABP1 tasks alongside CUDA ABP1's, right? With appropriate additions to app_info, of course.

Or is this unwanted by project?

(Can't do it myself with Vista64)

I'm certain the developers are working on it. I don't know how it all works on other projects, like Seti.

if only we could see the status of the ABP1 validator on the SSP...

Yep, that's on my wishlist for some time now.

The problem is that ABP1 workunit generator and validator are running on a remote machine in Hannover, Germany, not on the main project server.

When I find the time I may let the machine in Hannover serve a html frame that can be embedded in the UWM SSP.

Regarding CPU usage see my

Regarding CPU usage see my previous message. We let some calculations run on the CUDA device (GPU), but I think the current App is still CPU bound, i.e. it does more work on the CPU than on the GPU. We're working on changing this, but this will take some more work & time. We released this App nevertheless to use this time to already gain some experiece with CUDA in the BOINC environment.
