Many work units have been crunched, and the number of cruchers is increasing, however, there is no information on how we're progressing. How about some progress words on the main page or a news page. For example,
1. Has anything been found?
2. What percentage of the total has been calculated?
3. At the current rate, when will all of the work units be calculated?
4. Other motivational facts of progress that give us incentive to continue using our computers for this project.

Since more data is expected to be added to the "to be crunched" queue, reporting about percent complete makes very little sense. I am going to assume that if we found anything, we would find out (probably after it was published as publishing is how academics keep their reputations.)

I agree. If you look at the profiles that people put up (I have been too lazy to do one) their inspration is not to crunch a certan number of work units, but to accomplish a goal. Statements about what the work done to date has been worth in terms more meaningful to the average person would be helpful. It needn't be often, even once a month, or once a quarter would be better than just posting computation statistics.
