Why not if it is really the most appropriate answer :).

Alright... How about RTFMB then?

If you go to the main page for the Message Boards and type in the thread title search string of "claimed credit determined" the #1 item returned is an existing thread that will answer your question, including the actual formula that is used (or so it says).

Also in that thread you will find references to the excellent Paul D Buck documentation website which covers you question in great depth.

Why is it that people demand that others write them out their own personalized version of an answer rather than spend 5 seconds and find a number of previously written answers that already do the job superbly??

Cheers,
Gary.

You spend more than 5 sec to write your comment instead of right answer, so that's mean that your time is not very important for you. This is the answer why sometimes ppl asked without searching :-) It's easy and simple to ask instead of search and think. If anyone can do something instead of me - please do it :-)

PS. Thanks for your instruction - quite usefull

Um, well, not quite. Over the last year PLUS we have refined, tested, exampled, distilled, collected, refactored, and written over 700 web pages of material.

This includes nearly 500 FAQ Topics, a documentation page for each and every page on the project web sites and this material more than covers the ground.

Just as an example, your credit question requires the definition of the words:

credit
claimed credit
granted credit
pending credit
cobblestone
reference computer
validation
result
benchmark
total credit
recent average credit
deadline

So, I would say that a complete personal answer would take us some time to do ... and a lot longer than it would take you to at least try to look it up first.

THEN, if you did not understand something we can see if we can answer your question and if needed, add new material or edit the existing material to make it easier to understand.

So what?? My comment was suggesting that you should spend the 5 seconds typing in a simple search string so that dumb sods like me wouldn't need to waste their time repeating something that's already thoroughly documented.

> ... instead of right answer, so

Actually, it was the right answer but I don't think you have the ability to fathom that out for yourself.

> that's mean that your time is not very important for you.

This really convinces me that you don't have a clue. Perhaps you didn't understand so let me spell it out for you. I actually wasn't really replying to you at all!! The wording of your request indicated exactly that you weren't prepared to do anything for yourself. So, I was using your question as a means to promote to others, Paul D Buck's excellent website and to help publicize the message board search function as a way of finding your own information quickly and easily, ie using the accumulated wisdom of the posters rather than letting it rot away. If, as a result of my post, just one other person decides to try out the website or to use the search function instead of asking a useless question, then my time was very profitably spent.

I think the real answer is just plain old-fashioned lazyness, pure and simple. How you can suggest that it's easier to write a couple of sentences to phrase a question when you could have typed two or three words into a search string, beggars belief!! I wont even touch on the arrogance of demanding that others do your work for you.

No problems!!

Gary.
