I know it works with some architecture (I own a Notebook; that hasn't this prob.), but with a Dell XPS and "ATI Radeon X800 XT" it doesn't work and only EAH.

Remember that the benchmarks actually have nothing to do with process time. The benchmarks simply give the scheduler a rough idea of how many WUs to give your machine, and play a part in how much credit you are given.

I'm willing to bet the WUs the 'new' benchmarks estimate will take 2.5 hours longer than normal will process in the same amount of time you're used to. I would say they will process in the same amount of time, but 4.25 is a new animal to me, and I don't know what effect it may have on process times over 4.19. It should be minimal as it is the project applications that do the work, not the CC, so even if the new version has more functionality, it shouldn't affect process times much. My FX-53 appears to be in line with my 4.19 times. (actual completion times, not estimated)

I see no graphics on any project with a screensaver...

If you install the new

If you install the new version as a service, no graphics will be available.

Yes. I didn't install as a service...

Message 7568 in response to message 7564

My A64 rig usually finishes a unit just under 6 hours. With v4.25 I stopped it after 6 and half hours because there was still a good 2 - 2½ hours left to crunch. No unit has ever took that long on it. However, my P4 is crunching normally. I don't know if others with Athlons 64 have this problem or if it's just me.

It was ~5 hours for a single

It was ~5 hours for a single WU, with 4.25 it is almost 6 hours for my A64.

Hmmm... Well, as I've already

Hmmm... Well, as I've already mentioned, my AMD64 FX-53 doesn't show variation at that scale. I've seen a few that have taken longer, but we're talking less than 400 seconds longer.

For example, 4.19:
1550462 429307 6 Mar 2005 9:15:30 UTC 8 Mar 2005 3:00:49 UTC Over Success Done 18,742.25 92.72 94.65

Compared to 4.25:
1634815 448134 7 Mar 2005 18:01:58 UTC 9 Mar 2005 23:01:02 UTC Over Success Done 19,079.98 71.35 92.58

Lower requested credit on the new CC due to the more accurate benchmarks, but I'm definitely not seeing an hour or 2.5 hour increase.

Message 7571 in response to message 7570

I gave v4.25 another shot on my A64 rig and it seems to be working fine now. Since I upgraded, it finished two units in the same normal time as before. Guess it was some 'freak' unit...

While I cannot reproduce this problem on any of my machines, I do believe we currently have a problem in this area. I'm continuing to investigate, I hope to be able to resolve this soon.
