I just replaced my current computer with a new one; my secondary is now defunct and the curent is now the secondary. How do I remove the old, old one?

Old computer - Retired

Wait until all of the results for that computer are removed from the database. When that happens, you'll see a link on the host page to delete the computer.

I just detached from

I just detached from Einstein...since they will delete a popular thread because a control freak mod from the Seti project who's contribution to this project is nil, comes over here and starts trashing things....l8trs.

Best wishes for your health.

Best wishes for your health. I just had a total body scintigraphy, made in a public hospital in Milano, for which I paid nothing, according to the rules of our National Health Service ( I am over 70 and my income is less than 35000 euros yearly). If you want to crunch in a quiet environment,I suggest QMC@home. Cheers.

I'm also very sorry to see

I'm also very sorry to see you leave E@H, and even more so because I have no idea whatsoever what this is all about, anybody who wants to enligthen me is welcome to write me at hb[at]tickuhr.de, but I have a feeling that is is something which can be straightened out. The Einstein@Home forum has always been a place where people manage to get along extremely well and it would be sad to see this change, maybe because of a mere misunderstanding, and not bad intentions.

A bit puzzled what happened,

I think Dogbytes may be disappointed that the entire Last Person To Post thread that was running a week or so ago was removed...When whatever problem posts that were contained within the thread could have been removed...leaving the rest of the thread intact...The same thing happened with the "Einstein Cafe" thread a few months ago...There were apparently some off color posts in it...But rather than remove them...the entire thread was hidden...In my opinion actions like those are what may be bothering Dogbytes...rather than hide the entire thread and along with it all the posts of those who weren't misbehaving...Hide just the offensive posts that may be contained within that thread.

When an issue like this

When an issue like this cropped up at another project, Rosetta I think, there was simply no possibility for editing the thread in the way suggested here. It was an all or nothing thing.

I don't know if things have changed with more recent server side software, but I recall the forum software being pretty crude.

Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity into the dream.

Well, it can be done that way

Well, it can be done that way on the Seti forums, and as we are all under the Boinc umberella, I'm sure some help would be forthcoming.
