Hi Dan! What season are you in? We're getting some lovely/lively spring weather after a roughy of a winter. It's the second spring since our fires, and boy are the birds back in flocks. I had this duck stand his ground in our driveway recently, while I drove around it, all the while he looked right at me and quacked away in protest! Wouldn't budge. Early morning is best as the dawn chorus has returned. We have a mimic somewhere in our garden - probably an aptly named Superb Lyrebird ( but you never seem to quite spot them ) - who has picked up on someone's mobile phone ring tone. Gosh it's convincing, while we scramble when half asleep to find ours before we realise. First time we heard it we thought we'd dropped one of ours just outdoors!! :-) :-)

@ Mike H, Its turning cold here. Winter is starting to settle in. They are forecasting snow this weekend down to the valley floors. Yuck! I want my warm weather back!

My brother just sent me a couple pics of the snow at home (Cleveland, Ohio). Here (in Daejeon, S. Korea) it's cold at night, but still decent during the day. I've been less happy as I seem to be getting more sensitive to the cold.
It is officially autumn here...But it feels more like winter with the temp low way below freezing early this morning...It's also very dry here...I would love a massive snow storm right about now...But the weather service says it's gonna be warm and dry...instead of cold and dry...come tomorrow.
