Looking at the server status is a difficult one to interpret.

Quite easy:

If you can see the status site, the server is up.
If you cannot see the status site, the server is down.

The official reason is : the server had a hot curry takeaway, and burped all night ..... :-)

Rod & I suspect malfeasance. We will publish a full report in Phys Rev D - Attack Of The Tachyons. Look out for it.

Cheers, Mike.

It would have to be a Tachyon Pulse modulated Sweep Phaser to disrupt RAID, you ought easily be able to detect the energy field.

Aha!! So there is someone else who knows what Rod & I are on about!! We were wondering who the other person might be. Expect a knock on the door, as our cunning/Baldrick plan has worked and you have been flushed out. :-) :-)

Cheers, Mike.

[edit] Seriously, it looks to be that the curries are getting delivered to AEI and UWM. We'll have to get Bernd and Oliver to not leave them out on the bench overnight ....

Uncle Albert was once ask, by a reporter I believe, "What would be the weapons of WWIII?"

Albert answered that he didn't know what the weapons of WWIII would be, but he said he did know the weapons of WWIV...sticks and stones.

Which brings me to this point...was he talking about 21th century social skills?

Ah, sheer poetry in motion .... :-)

Looks like our techies Oliver & Bernd ( all hail !! ) are steadily dowsing the blinking lights on the threat board. Someone throttled the klaxon too ....

I never realised, and probably never will, just how confoundingly complicated it is to operate this lumbering Distributed Computing Beastie.

[mod's hat on]
Thesedays we seem to be getting a rather higher standard of spectator commentary as well, when disaster strikes. Nowadays I have to blowtorch my Nomex trousers myself!! ( yes, I am the guy in the horror movie theatre who says in a loud voice : "gee, it's quiet in here isn't it?" just before the bit where the short'n'sharp high pitched violin strokes play to crescendo ).

Cheers, Mike.
