Actually, this looks to be

Actually, this looks to be making my job a bit easier, as that .exe is out there already. For the s5 datarun, BOINC seems to have grabbed the .pdb file, but not a .exe for Einstein lol

My last work unit run almost

My last work unit run almost entirely with the S5T0709 patch validated. Yay. :) The other two are still pending and in the Initial state. It took a little less than 10 hours to finish.

I second Svenie25's request for the app_info.xml file we need. I think that just putting the XML code here would be fine. We can copy and paste it into a file on our computers. I could try making one, copying from a template for another project, but since Pepperammi wasn't able to create one that worked (and could for SETI), I'm not sure mine would work either. If someone could supply the necessary app_info.xml code, we'd appreciate it. Thanks.

P.S. -- What's the next best patch to use? It looks like S5T0711 returned some valid results, but I don't see word on S5T0712 yet.

A possible working

A possible working app_info.xml interpolated from http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/app_test.php using http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/app_test/FreeBSD/einstein_S5R1_4.09_i386-unknown-freebsd.tar.gz. Will this work?

       einstein_S5R1

       einstein_S5R1_4.10_windows_intelx86.exe

       einstein_S5R1
       410

           einstein_S5R1_4.10_windows_intelx86.exe

This might do it (running for me) but I haven't checked the S4 unit code as I haven't got any S4 WUs left. You might need to adjust the S4 application version to whichever S4 application you have installed - there are 4.37 for albert and 4.79 for einstein about. Note, you have to copy/rename the S5R1 4.02 app as a 4.10 app first, otherwise you will get problems.

einstein

einstein_4.79_windows_intelx86.exe

einstein_4.79_windows_intelx86.pdb

einstein
479

einstein_4.79_windows_intelx86.exe

einstein_S5R1

einstein_S5R1_4.10_windows_intelx86.exe

einstein_S5R1
402

einstein_S5R1_4.10_windows_intelx86.exe

if anyone can do better please do! Mike

Edit: hmmm, collided with Uli's post but we seem to match in the S5 section /Edit

well that works for me.

Message 39185 in response to message 39184

well that works for me. Strange. mine was exacly the same as far as i can see but without S4 app. Basicly mine was just the bottom part like Ulrich's. In the future i'll leave it to those more experience with einstin app_info files.

OK, then I have a pretty big huh here...

The only albert file I have is 4.37, and it is u41-04, not the stock

It has an einstein pdb file, and an albert pdb file...

If I patch over the albert I have, wouldn't useing u41 be, well... And yet it was able to use it to start crunching an s5 with the pdb file...

Or, having finished the last s4 unit, should I delete this, and force it to get the stock .exe for purposes of applying the s5 patch?

I recomend 402 version. Working for me now. If you only wont the S5 part this is working for me now. I found my problem. used a o not 0 at one point but working now.

einstein_S5R1

einstein_S5R1_4.10_windows_intelx86.exe

einstein_S5R1
402

einstein_S5R1_4.10_windows_intelx86.exe

[EDIT] i'll try again with 410 but it wouldn't work (after finding my typo)

[EDIT] no doesn't work with 410. not for me at least
