I'm a member of the team Scotland's Seti . This was founded by Buster Gunn who has gone from being a very prolific cruncher to being totally inactive. He has also stopped posting to our forums and doesn't answer emails. He was quite unwell when last we heard from him and it seems likely that his disengagement is health related and, sadly, possibly permanant.
Whatever the cause, the situation is a little bit limiting, for instance it means that there is no-one who has access to member e-mail addresses which makes keeping the team together difficult.
We had a little chat about this on our forum and agreed that it would be better to have an active leader. I've been nominated unopposed for the position.
What do we need to do to make this happen?

We need a new founder (original founder uncontactable).

There is a similar discussion on the SETI message boards.

Seems there is no way other than mailing the project administrators and
ask them to make the change.

I had the same problem with my SETI team. Someone on their forum told me who to e-mail and they sorted it out straight away!
I don't suppose you have an e-mail address for the relevant E@H project administrator?

I updated the database. The team webpage may be cached for a little while but you are the new founder.

Thanks very much.

I hope this doesn't mean your team's performance is about to improve—the RASC Einstein@home team is due to pass you in a few days ... ;)
(Best of luck, anyway.)
