    I've installed the latest boinc client available in the FreeBSD ports. I can not get the client to get any work because the platform is not recognized.

    Is there any I can do about this, or is FreeBSD unusable for this project?

      There is a team working on a HOWTO to get the Linux App running on FreeBSD. However it just so happens that I finished to build a FreeBSD App (from "albert" code) a few hours ago which will be available in the next days (or might be hours) after a bit of testing. Watch out for an updated Beta Test page.
