It’s more likely that the problem is with the drivers and not the app. AMD is well known to have buggy and incomplete driver support.
the application uses features only supported in OpenCL 2.0. The drivers report that they have OpenCL 2.0, but they don’t really have the necessary feature support in reality.
I tested this earlier in the thread. I was able to get this app to run on an RX570 under Linux with ROCm drivers. But not with Linux AMD proprietary driver and not under windows (which only has one source of drivers).
