Is it already installed with the BIONIC software or is it seperate, and where do I find it?
Yes, just select the BOINC screensaver and, when BOINC is running Einstein, the Einstein screensaver should be displayed. However, there is a "graphics bug" you should be aware of. This is a thread describing a similar problem with some links to additional info that you should read.

I don't see the screensaver anywhere: it certainly doesn't appear in System Preferences where the others live, and searching my HD for "Einstein" doesn't turn up anything that looks likely to me. I'm running E@h under BOINC Menubar 5.2.13 (v4), Mac OS X 10.3.9. Where else should I be looking?

You should be looking for the BOINC screensaver (not Einstein). Have you read this?

Now I have -- thanks! ... nope, no BOINCSaver anywhere.

Odysseus,
There are a lot of Mac BOINCers who read and post on these boards - but I am not one of them. Hopefully, somebody else will be along soon.
Thanks for your attention, Stick, but I've just been informed, on one of the S@h boards, that the compact Menubar version of BOINC I'm running doesn't include the screensaver -- although apparently there's a possibility of installing it independently. OTOH I may try out the standard GUI version, probably in the new year; I want to keep on top of my work this week so I can take my holidays with a clear conscience (and without the boss phoning me to 'put out fires' on my days off).

I think there's definitely a case for renaming BOINC to Berkeley Infrastructure for Open Networking and Interesting Computing. :-)
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...
