The task you have is an Arecibo Binary Pulsar Search (STSP), which is most probably partly being done on your GPU. Even if it isn't, I see that the same computer is doing Seti work, and there you are doing CUDA work on your GPU.
Your GPU can only either show intricate 3D graphics/a screen saver, or do the intricate calculations it is doing for CUDA. It can't do both, not without lots of errors. The same cores in the GPU are used for either of these tasks, whereby when CUDA is used, it will saturate the GPU with the calculations.
P.S: you may want to update your BOINC, there's a new version available from the download page, which has a lot of fixes included. 6.6.28 never was a public (read: recommended) version, so you're running on an old development version, long overdue.
I'm having the same problem as others when running Einstein@home. The graphic will display when my computer is idle a short time and then it turns into a black screen that pops in and out and I have to cut off my computer in order to get out of that situation.
I'm running Einstein now and so far it's cut me out 3 times already. I'm going to have to stop running this particular program I think. Seti@home is no problem and never does that. Should I have NOT added another program or what?
The problem with downloading new projects and Einstein @ Home screen saver.
Screensaver freezes when I want to return to work.
The program does not receive new projects. We are constantly trying to connect to. it lasts from Saturday. Please help.

Screen saver on my dual-monitor display keeps messing up my configuration by switching sides.
I normally configure my Windows 7 desktop to place my monitors side-by-side in this manner: [ 2 ][ 1 ]. But after the Einstein screensaver is displayed, it has changed to: [ 1 ][ 2 ].
Otherwise everything is running fine, my cpu is working on tasks and the screensaver looks good. But each time I return to my PC, I have to swap sides back again using Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Display > Screen Resolution. This remains in place just fine until the screensaver runs again.
It's not a big deal but takes me time to fix. I just installed BOINC for the first time a few days ago and Einstein is the only project I've joined. I have a Radeon x1900-xtx graphics card.

Now that's an interesting one! I can't imagine how that might be caused by the screensaver. A couple of questions:
- Is the screensaver displayed on both screens when started automatically (in full screen mode)?
- Does the switch also happen when you click on "Show graphics" (for a running E@H task in advanced view)
- Please attach to another project like SETI temporarily. Does it happen with their screensaver also?
Just recently encountered a minor screen saver issue. Running BOINC 6.12.35 on a G5 Powermac (PowerPC) under OS X 10.5.8.
I have BOINC scheduled to run three hours a day, and my Powermac scheduled to wake up just before BOINC starts processing. The Powermac also shuts down after BOINC finishes and goes into task suspense mode.
Lately when BOINC starts up again, the screensaver continues to say "No tasks running", even though they are running.
This has just started happening after running for over a month with no such issue. No changes to the system in the interim.
Minor problem, but thought I'd report it. Perhaps it is a known issue.

Please, don't do that. That will be a lot of scrolling for all who are around here, passing through this thread.

Sorry, I don't quite understand. What exactly do you mean by "the same thing"? And you're clicking update before removing what from you system?

This is a problem of the generic BOINC screensaver (launcher), not the E@H screensaver (graphics application, starsphere).
