What ist this? I'm running BOINC (SETI, LHC and Einstein) on a 160 MByte ramdisk since more than a year. Suddenly it complains about not enough disk space? What have you changed on your end, cause i didn't do anything?

Einstein@Home - 2005-11-28 20:08:02 - Message from server: No work sent (there was work but you don't have enough disk space allocated) Not enough disk space (only 46.8 MB free for BOINC). Review preferences for minimum disk free space allowed.

Einstein@Home - 2005-11-28 20:08:02 - Deferring communication with project for 1 days, 0 hours, 0 minutes, and 0 seconds

BTW: There are more than 120 MBytes free on that disk and BOINC knows that on it's disk space tab!

Bogus error: Not enough disk space?

This has been discussed a lot lately. If you go to the disk space preferences and "update", even if you don't change anything, it may fix the problem. If not, try "giving it more", even if you don't really have that much.

My preferences are as follows:

Use no more than 0.16 GB disk space
Leave at least 0 GB disk space free
Use no more than 99% of total disk space

This was sufficient for over a year. Now it 'thinks' it needs more, thanks to the server 'upgrade' ... :/

[edit] It's only a problem for this machine: http://einsteinathome.org/host/8994

You won't believe it, but saving preferences alone wasn't enough.
I changed the "Leave at least ..." from 0 GB to 0.001 GB and it started downloading again...

/me shaking head but being glad again
