Erhrunner,

Did you try your project address, http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/, and key, the long random alphanumeric string? If you are copying and pasting them in from the email that Einstein sent you, ensure that there are no missing characters or extra spaces. Boinc is very picky about those errors.

Regards,

Michael

Yes i have and when i paste

Yes i have and when i paste the account key in to my browser to get prefrences, etc it works...so i know the key is correct. It acks for my Email address and Password (Account Key in this case i assume) then the message i get right after are as follows

10/31/2005 5:59:16 PM||Fetching config info from http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/get_project_config.php
10/31/2005 5:59:17 PM||Missing account key

I know the key is right and there are exactly 32 characters and it just wont connect...what next??

just an idea (and i may be way off base here), can you try changing your password on the E@H site and then try attaching to the project through BOINC.

I don't have the time to research this right now, but I am pretty sure I saw somebody else post this same problem about a week ago. And, if my memory serves me correctly, I think the solution that Kathryn is proposing worked in that case. It might also be one of the things fixed in v5.2.5. I suggest you review the BOINC 5.2.x threads on the various boards for messages wriiten around a week ago (+ or - a couple of days).

Mark...

I'm so glad that worked. This is the first time I've been able to help a fellow cruncher, and I feel pretty good :)

Have fun crunching!
