I thought I'd start a thread about books in hopes that there are other readers here and not to clutter up another thread.

I am currently reading Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End by Atul Gawande. Well written, sobering and important, I highly recommend it. Has anyone else read it?

Books on the nightstand include Justice: What's the Right Thing To Do? by Michael Sandel and The Martian by Andy Weir.

What are these two? Advanced Trauma For Life Support?

Is that Z as in Zombie or as in Zelda Fitzgerald?

I was re-reading The Grand

I was re-reading The Grand Design by Stephen Hawking, but put it down for too long - and lost my place in it, which probably means I'm going to have to re-re-read quite a bit of it before I can say I've read it again.

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

I have, but have not yet

I have, but have not yet started "The Tibetan Book of the Dead" by his Holiness the Dalai Lama.  I really need to get motivated, but I am so easily distracted.

I finished The Martian. It

I finished The Martian. It was good but not as good as I was expecting it to be. I was expecting the isolation to have an effect on him but he seemed to barely notice it. I haven't seen the movie. Perhaps they interpreted it differently. Did anyone see the movie or read the book? Or both?
