I didn't cut the grass Friday, but I did get things done. First, I called my COBRA administrator to find out if I'd been processed yet. Yes, on Wednesday, the day I had previously called and been told no, not yet. Then I called my insurance to make sure. Yes, you can use it today, but if your pharmacy says it doesn't go through, tell them to call in and talk to a live person. Then I called my pharmacy to order a couple of desperately needed scrips. Just as I got out of my car in their lot, they called me back. I missed the call, but I just went inside. They said my order did not go through, even when they called in and talked to a live person. So, I sat in one of the waiting chairs in front of the desk and called the insurance again. After several minutes on hold with incredibly annoying music, I talked to a guy who finally said he was the medical side and didn't know anything about prescription and he would transfer me to someone on that side. More annoying music. Woman tells me it should be fine. I tell her I'm at the pharmacy and it's not fine. She taps the computer some more and says okay, now it should be fine. Then she turned out to be actually human by calling the pharmacy herself (more of the same music, but I don't care how annoying it is now) and telling them to try it again AND IT WORKS! YAY! A few more minutes and it's ready for me. Phew. Now I can sleep tonight.
Then I went to two grocery stores and by the time I got home and stuffed everything into the freezer that needed to be, it was too late to do the grass. Maybe today or tomorrow. I'm still a bit sleepy from getting home from the museum at midnight Sunday night. But I definitely need to go out and check the mail today.

I checked the mail and woo hoo! my new ID came! I called my friend at the same job and he said to call the boss, so I did. He gave me the last couple bits of info I needed. I asked to partner with my friend and he said okay and to call him again. I did and we talked for a couple of hours. He's going to pick me up tomorrow and show me other stuff I need to know and then I'll start working.
So now I'd better cut the grass today. Unless that's rain I hear hitting the window.

Seriously, it worries me when service people say that it 'must be fine' because the computer sez so. For me they are only an aide-memoire, but I forget what that means. Or for playing games. Anyone play Civ 6 ?

So the insurance has the final word if you can have your prescription? I'm glad I haven't run into a similar situation.
Last trouble I had was a doctor not having send the prescription to the pharmacy. Quite annoying that was too.
Yup here in the US prescription coverage is often included in our health care coverage so if they mess up everything can be messed up, or just part of it depending on how bad it is.
I had a similar problem with my new Dr, apparently they've never dealt with the pharmacy my health care prefers me to use and it took a bit for them to work out the details, but now the prescriptions are being filled, and refilled, on a regular basis.
I am winning all the way around!!
Oh and I trimmed my own nose hairs the other day so I'm good there too, no yard to mow, it's part of my HOA fees, so I went ahead and did the old nose.
