Cheers, Mike.

In the spirit of this new

In the spirit of this new détente

If I'm going to have to clean up my blinks *filthy blink* it may take some time.

;) Good morning everyone

@ Mikey

And these people aren't even State Employees, they are CONTRACTORS, you would think they'd have some brains in their heads but it seems they do not!!

I had that pleasure last week. It shouldn't have been too difficult to work out that I was the last person to be seen. The doors had been locked. I was alone in the waiting room. No 168 had been and gone. Numbers 169-173 had clearly thought better of taking a ticket at all and had left ... it's then you know you're dealing with someone who ideally, shouldn't be given any power at all. When they go through a "stretch - scratch - yawn - fiddle with a pen - lean back - sit forward - press button for 169 - stare at computer a minute - get up - disappear - return - press button for same number - go back to scratching" routine for every number until 174.

@ Tim

A tequila sunrise sounds better than a string of slammers to start the week on, so I'll have one of those, please. I'm glad she's been found :) My other half has a cousin (still in Zimbabwe) who has one, along with several other smaller birds of prey.

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

Oh. Computer sez no then.

Cheers, Mike.

Have you been seen or are you still waiting? Doors locked, forced to wait for the doctor to return on his next working day?

:)))))))))It was an

:)))))))))

It was an interesting five minutes, Having been told on the phone that I had to hand in some stuff to do with council tax in person or they couldn't be sure of getting it, the first minute passed being barked at for not posting it, the next three for providing the wrong information, and the last one not apologising to me for his mistake and actually going off to photocopy the documents he'd been wrong to say were wrong. There was a security guard rattling at me as I wobbled out the building, but he didn't leap into action until after I'd left :)

edit: Fortunately, I'd seen the state that 162-168 had left his window in - a lot angrier than they'd appeared to be whilst they were waiting to be snapped at by him, I was better prepared than I might have been otherwise.

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

Since she has not commented

At least you got to hand in what you wanted to hand in, and got to walk out before they locked down for the night!

I hope you gave it back to him after your business was done, sure sounds like he deserved it!!
