Ah well you see, on this

Ah well you see, on this island bananas come pre-packaged in a protective covering, so they remain fresh until the end user chooses to eat them

That's to stop them chatting to other bunches on the shelves via chemical means, Chris :) you know... about how cold it us and how homesick they are that there's nothing left for them but to get all spotty and go BLEUCH.

I totally missed it!

My eyes invisibled it too, Jonathan - I think I was in denial...

*blink sympathetically at Mike* You took the disappointment very well, Mike... no tranquiliser darts needed or anything! :) Well done!

Congratulations on the win, Gary :)

*drown our racket coming from

*drown out racket coming from Australia with a bit of thread maintenance*

I've realised that there is an "us" instead of an "is" and also ... whilst combing for clues, that I'd left out an "ache" too. That was in one of my earlier posts, except it wasn't because I'd left it out.

Stop that woman!!!*frost

Stop that woman!!!

*frost eyelids at half mast* They'd have to run me over. The last time anyone in uniform tried to stop me it was with those long things they like to hit you with so you get to dribble on the ground whilst seeing stars. I expect I've mentioned it before, but it was the day of my final exam, which I'd sat down to write, wrote my name upon, read through, saw I'd have no problem passing, and realised that for the rest of my life, I'd be a Certified Chartered Accountant, which is why I walked out instead and joined the anti-apartheid protest going on outside on the Wits's campus :) A dabble with gymnastics and being a pretty mean sprinter meant they didn't make me dribble or see stars :) which allowed me to go home and be accused of having a nervous breakdown decades before there was any real chance of doing so ;)

edit: although I believe the term that was used was "mad"
