On three of my computers I have had to upgrade to 4.45 because some late August WU's were ignored by 4.19. 4.19 just skipped to processing the earliest September due dates. On two of the upgrades 4.45 pre-empted processing and deferred to the August WU's. The most recent problem was with August 28th WU's w1_1459.0_1459.4_0.1_t03_S4hA_3, and W1_1459.0_1459.4_0.1_t04_S4hA_2. The upgrade to 4.45 had no effect. I had to manually suspend the running September WU and each subsequent ready to run WU's. It then started processing the overlooked work units mentioned above. I will be checking my computers date in each case. Any one else have a case of the August blowby?

August 28th due date WU's skipped by 4.19

Checked my computer dates and I have a +\- 20 minutes accuracy. On two previously updated machines, 4.45 also skipped August 28/29 WU's and processed the early September WU's. I had to pre-empt and draw down to the late August WU's. They are processing now, I need to know if the source of these 28/29 WU's has an issue similar to previous lower case corrupt WU's. My fix for this is manual intervention. Not something our fellow crunchers are anticipating.

How do I check to see what version of Einstein I have?

Robert – Bring the BOINC Client up into your monitor; click on “Help”, then click on “About BOINC Manager”; this should render you the “Version” information you have requested.

4.19 and 4.45 will normally

4.19 and 4.45 will normally pick in a first in first crunched order. 4.45, will stop a WU with a later deadline to get one with an earlier deadline done if that is needed. I believe that this is an artifact of the switch to 14 day deadlines - re-issued work will still have the 7 day deadline.
