When viewing some of the threads in these forums, the https is missing the identity information from the web site. At least Firefox shows sometimes the lock symbol in yellow and sometimes in green. OK. I didn't remember that the pictures are not on this web site but are actually on external sites.
All right, this is probably not a "web site problem" but more like a "web site question".
I can't seem to find a count of the total number of different workunits I have completed for E@H. Sure, I see some under "Tasks", but they go away after some time.
How many FGRPB1 workunits have I completed? for instance. I'm curious to find out. Is there such a page somewhere?
No there is no total count of the tasks a user has completed, you get credit awarded instead. Tasks and workunits are deleted from the online database after all tasks for the workunit are completed/errored/timed out to keep the database smaller and faster.
Without permission to comment a post there's a "Post new comment" section at the bottom of the page just as normal just without the comment box. I guess the section should be hidden like in locked posts.
Although I would like it better if there was a text stating the reason why I can't comment (or post). Like "commenting closed" or "log in to comment". My first reaction to the locked news posts was that there was a bug somewhere because there was no (other) indication that the posts were locked.

Quoting a previous poster seems (new in the last few days) to append a 'random' number to the end of the previous user's name. [I suspect it may be the message number in the thread - edit: suspicion withdrawn]: but since the messages aren't (visibly) numbered, that's not much help.

Each host keeps a job_log file, which you can copy and then analyse. Note these are completed (not validated tasks).
This is located in the boinc data directory, for e@h the filename is job_log_einstein.phys.uwm.edu.txt
