Thank you for the

Thank you for the congratulations everyone *beam benevolently*

@Kathryn's tabby: :) Diego's our only tabby - he's botchedblotched as opposed to mackerel

@robl: My windows are my A/C so the noise tends to go up when they're on, yes :) I do hope you're having as pleasant a day today too?

@Holmis: Yes, they did turn MUCH less interesting than I originally thought they were, but thank you for having a look :) This was what I saw...

 more or less ;/ actually that looks very confusing now it's here. At the top (and bottom) is a cropped screenshot of this task still pending, which is what the two resends I was banging on about looked like till I reported them. DO feel free to ignore ALL of this. I probably would if someone had atted that at me... yes.

@Mike: Awwwwwwwww :) that is by far the best use of your make-up bag, Mike, it really really is... well any make up bag for that matter ;)

Some Projects, Einstein included, have started hiding the wingmen for 'security reasons', something must have caused this but I have no clue what or when but it's happening at some other Boinc Projects too. Then once the workunits are returned by everyone voila everything is visible like it used to be.

@Anniet: Nice pics and I

@Anniet: Nice pics and I think I understand what you're referring to.

@Anniet and Mikey: Einstein has changed the Gamma-ray search to "single replication" meaning that only one task get sent out if the host is deemed trustworthy, ie has a history of valid results. Sometimes at random 2 tasks are generated to check that the host is still trustworthy.
But if the user were to know that only one result was sent out that might open up for cheating so the details are hidden until the workunit is validated.
Using "single replication" is more efficient as the majority of workunits can be done with only one task instead of sending out 2 tasks.

Nice,glad you could read my invisible Einsteinium ink text Annie and your drawing of the WU numbers was like Einstein scribbling calculus on a chalk board Laughing

Dr.Mike that was some fine British art work........you must realize the Queen can still see your every move Wink

And Kathryn ......if I was an Indians fan my keyboard would be acting like that too.......and if I was a Cubs fan......I would just give up and switch the the Yankees.........but then I have been a Yankees fan since Micky Mantle was playing so I get to keep those 27 WS Titles Cool

But you still have to win 3 more........good luck Innocent

Ooh, a decision. The first one... no, no the second. Actually, I might have to just listen and not watch. I have been told I'm an anomaly because I find what'shisface... Sean Connery, a bit annoying. It's not his fault. I had my brain scrambled by seeing the 007 films out of sequence, so to me James Bond was Roger Moore. Then I got taken to see another one, and I spent the whole film wondering when James Bond was going to actually get involved in the story (I was quite young at the time) and he never showed up. When I voiced my disappointment at the end, I recall being asked how stupid I was by my much older brother, which is incidentally, also the reason I don't like chess.So I will decide with my bias turned off and then get back to you :)

@Holmis

Thank you for the explanation :)  I tend to look at resends if I haven't a huge number of tasks, and then shove them to the front of the queue so people who've been kept waiting, don't get kept waiting if you know what I mean.

I do hope it wasn't top secret or anything? ;)

@Mikey

It definitely is "voila" when all is revealed :)

@going a little quiet maybe

I had a bit of bad news about my other half last night. Fortunately he was already in hospital so everything is going to be fine I'm sure, because they're doing a lot of looking after him :) but in trying to unblock and repair his failed fistula he's ended up with a lot of bloodclots in his lungs. I'll still be about, you just might have to wait around between insults every now and again *flick eyes disparagingly about* ;) I'm sure you'll manage

edit to MAGIC: we seem to have both had the good idea of compiling posts at the same time :)

Goo morning everyone, it's in

Good morning everyone, it's in the low 40's outside my house this morning, that's the coldest so far this Fall. I think my basement though is still nearly 90F as the heat coming up the steps feels normal!!
