I can confirm that something is hosed in OpenCL for ATI cards for Yosemite; I have a first generation Mac Pro 1,1 with the original Xeon 5150 running under 10.9 For quite some time that recognized my Radeon 5770, GPU tasks ran just fine; when I upgraded it to 10.10.3, none of my GPU tasks ever finished, they all got stuck at 99.8% or some other non-100% figure. Same under 10.10.4. Even with the beta BOINC 7.6.x client.
Didn't want to go back to 10.9, so I swapped in a stock PNY 660 GTX, installed nVidia's web drivers and CUDA 7, and now GPU tasks finish just fine and the machine has nearly doubled its WU average in just a few days. So yeah, it is an AMD/ATI/Apple thing.
It really doesn't help that Apple's OpenCL support appears to be moribund. C'mon, Khronos is up to OpenCL 2.1 and Apple does not have any OpenCL drivers newer than 1.2, which got ratified, what, four years ago? For even the newest Macs? I wonder if Apple purposely keeps their OpenCL support at an ancient level just for stability purposes. Seems stupid when they're touting Metal and all this crap.

To the contrary, IMHO Metal is the very reason why OpenCL is now so badly supported by Apple. They wanna push it as NVIDIA pushes CUDA instead of OpenCL...
Could you please up the OS version to include El Capitan too? Thanks.
There's only a minimal OS version specified, no "max" version or anything else that might prevent the app version to be delivered to El Capitan.
Please make sure that Beta App versions are enabled for the "venue" your respective host is in according to the Einstein@Home preferences of your account (or assign the host to a venue where Beta App Versions are enabled).
I just updated from 10.9 to 10.10.5 since I saw that there have been good results with the 1.58 update. Unfortunately, for my computer too (Computer ID: 6930894), (Arecibo, GPU) v1.39 (BRP4G-opencl-ati-lion) and (Parkes PMPS XT) v1.52 (BRP6-opencl-ati-lion) are both broken on my machine. v1.39 gets to 98% and then stops progressing, and when I quit and restart, the tasks restart from 0. For v1.58 it has a computation error immediately or after about 1% completion.

What kind of GPU do you have?

What kind of GPU do you have? I'm doing fine with an R9 280X flashed to Mac compatibility.
