Sorry - that information was included in the instructions for the Mac Beta test, but I forgot to take it over to the Windows one. My fault.

I just posted a new Window App (0.18) for beta testing. It involves quite some fixes to the BOINC library, including the previous ATI graphics driver fix and a fix to some other problems (mainly general access violations) in conjunction with the graphics.

Please test and report!

Bernd, I have not participated in .03beta testing. Should the .18 beta installation give a seamless transition from 4.79? In preparation, I have already requested Einstein to give me no new work, so I have ~ 6 hrs work left in queue.

No, it won't. You are actually changing the platform, not only the App version.

It'll probably take 0.5 times longer to crunch a unit again. ;)

Installed and waiting for it to start rocking.

Migration to .18 beta smooooth, no hangups or errors so far, though WUs take 10% more time (20600 sec for .18 vs. 18700 sec for 4.79)! :( Athlon XP-M 2600+++ under Win XP Home sp2. No others have completed the new WU results that .18 beta has done for me so far, so validation remains to be seen.
