Yesterday and today I lost 4 completed tasks due to this issue. And the message to hold off came just after I deleted tasks in the upload stage, so lost credit. Please be prompt in sending out a notice that uploads can be completed successfully.
- Defragmentation might not help in this case as we suspect the inode structure itself, not the data. In such a case xfs_fsr won’t help. We started the fragmentation check but had to stop it in favour of a repair we’re currently running (we saw an FS error on Wednesday as well). We’ll check the fragmentation level as soon as the repair is done.
- We’re currently talking about 12 TB. We could in principle delete significant part of that but we’re not able to do that with the current FS performance…
I just spent the better part of an hour punching Retry and finally pushed through all my uploads. Problem is, these were the files for five tasks that have now timed out. They haven't been sent to anyone else, but they also haven't been credited as reported by me.

Now they have, although one of them is inconclusive.
The third task of that inconclusive WU has still not been sent out. But I suppose Bernd and Oliver have bigger things to worry about.

You shouldn't be losing any tasks as long as you don't delete them.
