So how are the temperatures

So how are the temperatures going in the Land of The Free(z) ? Big blizzard coming down on you I here. What prep do you do ? Lock the place down and stock up on everything is my advice .... fire up the household fusion reactor. Dig the thickery socks out of the lower draw.

Cheers, Mike.

Eh, this was nothing. Three

Eh, this was nothing. Three inches or so, and it's in the 20s F. I still wear my slippers out to the street to get the mail.

If it gets too cold I can just throw a blanket on the floor in the crunching room. I found one of the cats curled up next to a video card today. Somebody forgot to close the door to the room. /whistlesandlooksinnocent.

My crunchers are not in cases, the parts are just laying on a wooden shelf.

I need to get on your server and set up a folder so I can post some pictures.

Phil

Edit: Ok, I just checked. It's 9 degrees F outside right now at 330 in the morning. I don't pay much attention to the weather since my work bag has everything from cold weather gear to a rain suit in it. I even carry spiked boots. That back pack is HEAVY!

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

The snow storm was only for

The snow storm was only for the northeast. Basically from New Jersey eastward. And then it ended up being a whole lot of not very much for the western half of the warned area. New Yorkers are pissed about being warned of a bigger storm than they got, just like they always are. Providence and Boston got it pretty good.

Didn't mean a damn thing to anyone west of the eastern mountain range (the Appalachians or various other names depending on what state you're in), except for the poor fools trying to travel to that area. Down in Texas, they're b*tching about sweating in the 80F heat.

Magic, my employer's firewall is blocking most of your images as being on a malware site.

48 years ago this week. Being <2 months old at the time, I don't remember it. I was told that the next day they took me out and everyone cooed over the cute baby, and also that my father drove his Volkwagen up a snow pile and it bottomed out. (Did I already tell you guys this?)

I think I'd rather be warned and it not happen than be taken by surprise. However, the NWS is getting something of a boy Who Cried Wolf reputation in New York. The same thing happened with a hurricane a few years ago and one or two other storms since then.

Must be snowbirds if the 80F is bothering them ;)

I grew up in west Texas where average Summer temps are 110F

At 80 I'm changing out of my long sleeves and pants and go for my shorts and t shirts.

90F I take notice.

Hope everyone up north is bundled up safe and warm....
